Alert Thresholds notify you when you're running out of something, before it's too late. You can set custom alerts for your Resources and Items. To receive alert thresholds you must enable in-app or email notifications. Additionally, you can set up alert thresholds in Resource and Item templates for a whole category if you do not want to do it for each Resource/Item.

Alert thresholds – Resource:

  1. Navigate to the resource of your choice

  2. Click on 'Set Alert Threshold'

  3. Click on 'Specify Alert Threshold'

  4. Enter a number

  5. Click away or on the 'x' cross

  6. Voilà!

Labstep team tip: Once you've set up the alert threshold for a resource, when the quantity of items falls below the set number, you will be notified of it. To manage how you receive your notifications, navigate to your workspace settings.

Alert thresholds – Item:

  1. Navigate to the resource of your choice

  2. Click on an item

  3. Click on the bell icon 🔔 near the Amount Remaining

  4. Enter an amount

  5. Click outside the field

  6. The bell icon will now be outlined red and the alert will be set

  7. That's it!

Labstep team tip: The unit used to set the amount remaining of an item, will be the same unit used for the amount specified for the alert threshold. Once the amount falls below it, you will receive an alert. Please note, this will only apply to items after the alert has been enabled and not before.
