Molecular editor

You can quickly add and draw molecules into notes/results and comment sections of Labstep. To get started, select the + icon and select Molecule.

The molecular editor can be used on desktop and mobile devices. A built-in menu and several keyboard shortcuts provide quick access to the most common editing features and allow fast creation of complex molecules. The editor is able to export molecules as SMILES, MDL/Symyx/Accelrys Molfile or in its own compact format.

Comments in tables

Right clicking in tables gives you the options to insert comments. This is great for updating plate information or for commenting on a collaborators table.

Other additions and fixes:

  • Bullet points in experiment description

  • Removed "Discover", "Get Quote" and "Ask an expert"

  • Changed "Duplicate" experiment to "Repeat experiment"
