It's spooky season, but don't worry—there's nothing to fear in this release! No tricks, just treats to make your Labstep experience even better. From resource custom identifiers to enhanced filtering, we're all about giving you more control and flexibility when it comes to organising and navigating your Inventory on Labstep.

Custom Identifiers for Resources

You can now create custom identifiers for new resources. Whether you need different identifiers for each category or a system to auto-assign custom identifiers, this feature lets you set up a tailored approach to managing your Inventory.

It's easy to set up a different identifier for each category. Similarly to experiments custom identifiers, you can choose the prefix and the minimum number of digits for the identifier.

You can also quickly assign custom identifiers to your existing resources, so nothing gets left behind!

Filtering Resources by Metadata

With the new option to filter resources by metadata, you can narrow down your search based on specific fields and their value. Whether you're managing a large Inventory or searching for a particular resource (or item), this feature helps you quickly locate what you need, saving time and improving efficiency!

Coming Soon: Compare Data Across Experiments

Have you ever wanted to compare the outcomes of a protocol or experiment across every run and different conditions you have used? Now you can with the new Data Explorer module on Labstep. It's still in beta, but be the first one to try it and shape what it looks like– unlock new functionalities now!
