We're back with some new features and updates to keep you warm and ready for the colder months ahead. We hope you'll like them!

On the menu this month:

Improvements to Resource/Item Templates

You can now edit Resource and Item Templates more straightforwardly. Updating the name or order of fields on your template will now propagate to all resources or items using the template, and fields added to the template will automatically appear on resources/items in the correct position without needing to be added manually. A big hooray for data consistency!

Custom metadata fields can still be added to individual resources/items but will now appear below the template fields. They can be distinguished by the little icon, as indicated below. More on Resource and Item Templates here.

Adding Metadata in Bulk

We've made it easier than ever to set up your templates and fill in your Metadata by allowing you to add metadata fields in bulk via a spreadsheet. Add up to 22 Metadata at the same time. If you already have Metadata in a separate spreadsheet, you can copy-paste them into the 'Add Metadata Fields' spreadsheet.

Adding Basic Tables

We have a new addition to the slash command: you can now add a Basic Table! The Basic Table feature is only for presentational purposes. For calculations, please use the Interactive Table. You can edit or delete it by clicking on the Table icon in the toolbar. Check out this article for more information on how to use Tables on Labstep.
