You can add comments to experiments, protocols and resources. Comments is a powerful feature that allows you to add short comments to content to discuss it with others as well as attach a multitude of different files (some of which you can preview!)

In an experiment, the comments section is where you can store your results as well as any comments from collaborator. In an experiment this feature is called 'Results/notes'.

Please note despite the comments feature in an experiment having a different name to comments in Protocols and Resources, the functionality is identical.

How to add comments/results to an experiment

  1. Create an experiment or select an existing one from a project or 'My Labstep'.
  2. Select the 'Results/notes' tab,

3. Select the blue/white plus icon and select from the drop-down list.

4. Chose from 'Molecule', 'Resource', 'Long text', 'File', 'Image', 'File from watched folder', 'table' and 'DNA sequence'.  [Link to comment options help article coming soon!]
